Martino Traversa studied piano, composition, electronic music, information technology and obtained a diploma at the high perfecting Academy of Pescara. He attended the summer courses in Siena, at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the CCRMA (Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics) of Stanford University. He studied with Luigi Nono from 1987 to 1989. In 1990, with the support of Luigi Nono, he founded Ensemble Edgard Varèse. In 1991 he instituted the international review of modern and contemporary music Traiettorie. He’s a composer and a researcher in the field of electronic technologies applied to musical acoustics and spatialization techniques. His works are performed by the most important international interpreters.
